EMERALD ALLIANCE  BREMEN BAND

Director-Matthew Sutton is in his eleventh year as Director of Bands at Bremen Public Schools. Mr. Sutton received a B.A. in Business Administration with a minor in Music Business from Anderson University and a B.S. in Music Education from Ball State University. 

Under Mr. Sutton's leadership the band has more than doubled in size, and received many Superior ratings at the Group I level as a band and individually.  The high school band performs over 40 times each year, including past performances in New York and Chicago.  In 2013, 2017, and 2018 the Bremen Band Program received the prestigious All-Music Award, given in recognition of excellence in all areas of the band program.  

The Emerald Alliance Marching Band, restarting a tradition of excellence in 2008, has won several competitions in the northern Indiana area. In five of the last seven years, the Emerald Alliance has qualified for the ISSMA Semi-State Competition in Indianapolis, IN

Mr. Sutton is a member of the Indiana Bandmaster's Association, where he volunteers as a part of the selection committee for the northern District Honor Band.  Mr. Sutton currently resides in Bremen Indiana with his wife, Cha.
