Marching Band to Perform at Memorial Weekend Parade in Indy

Well - it all began Wednesday night! The 2017 "All Marshall County Marching Band" had its first rehearsal with the drum line and color guard!

Looks like the drum line will be massive (11 snares, 8 tenors, 17 basses, 11 cymbals) and the color guard will be around 35 members!

Everyone from all the schools did an amazing job working prior to attending. The drum line was outside marching tonight and the color guard performed their entire routine!

This is going to be a very VERY cool thing for all of the band kids from these schools and a historical day for Marshall County!

Indy 500 Spectacular Parade here they come!

Joining 4 other Marshall County bands, the Bremen Emerald Alliance will be marching in the IPL 500 Festival parade on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. Calling ourselves the Marshall County Marching Band, our group will contain nearly 250 marchers from LaVille, Culver, Triton, Plymouth, and Bremen marching bands.

Held on the eve of the Indianapolis 500, over 300,000 spectators are expected to line the streets, joined with another 1 million viewers on television to view one of the nations premiere parades, along with the Pasadena Tournament of Roses and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade.

Some students involved in the parade have already begun work in preparation. While we will do the bulk of preparation during class, we do need to do a few rehearsals after school. Here's a schedule:
