Indy 500 Festival Parade details-- plus how YOU can help!

On Saturday, May 27 the Bremen Marching Band will be joining four other Marshall County Marching Bands to perform at the Indy 500 Festival parade. More than 300,000 spectators are expected to watch the over 200 students, with another million watching on television on the NBC Sports Network.

This is an awesome day for our students! Here's some details, and a call for help:

Students will need to meet at Bremen High School at 7 am. We will meet the other participating schools along the way, then move to our designated meeting place in Indianapolis.

We will change into our uniforms at the event. Lunch will be provided (see below-- we need help with this!)

The parade will begin at noon, and the route can be found here.

More information about the parade can be found on their website.

Once the parade is finished, we will pack up and return home. We do not know exactly how long that will be. If necessary, we will stop for a fast food dinner on the way home. Students will need to bring their own money for this.

This is an outdoor event, and a long parade route. Students need to take care of their health leading up to this event. Please avoid caffeine and sugary drinks. Get a good night's sleep the day before, and wear sunscreen on all exposed skin.
