Our parade performance with the Marshall County Marching Band is just a few days away! Two chaperones had to cancel their participation, so we have room for two more to come along on this historic event.
This parade will be televised on the NBC SPORTS NETWORK.
We are still looking for more volunteers to provide food/drink for lunch on that day. Please click the SignUp button and look for a way you can help!
Chaperone Details
Chaperones, please be aware of the following:
Chaperones are expected to ride on the buses to help supervise students.
Chaperones who will march the route with band members must have Chaperone credentials. They will be distributed on Parade day from a Band Committee member.
Attire: Chaperones must be dressed in uniformed, professional attire. A collared shirt and dress slacks are recommended with complimentary colors to the Band uniforms (Green, Black, White). Shorts/Jeans/T-Shirts will not be permitted.
Chaperone to Student Ratio: 1 chaperone to every 10 students will be permitted. The number of credentials will match the number of band members submitted. This ratio will be enforced and additional credentials will not be made available.
Along the route: Chaperones should walk alongside the band in an orderly fashion but should not be a part of the marching formation. If they need to assist a student, they may do so and return to their previous position.
Staging of chaperones: Band directors are the only individuals who will be allowed to march through the TV Zone. Chaperones will rejoin the band after, approximately 2 blocks after step-off. Parade Band Committee volunteers will escort chaperones to a staging area near the TV Zone to wait their integration.
