All students who will be in high school band or color guard next school year have received a letter with a permission slip for our annual trip to the DCI Competition in Michigan City on June 24th.
This amazing event will showcase some of the best talent in instrumental music in the country, and will give your child a unique view into what is possible with dedication, discipline, and a consistent work ethic The show will include hundreds of high school and college musicians performing at an incredible level.
We will be meeting at Bremen High School in front of the auditorium to leave at 5:30 pm, and should return to the school by approximately midnight. Students should bring money for dinner at McDonald's on the way, and tickets themselves cost $25.
This is an outdoor event; students should wear sun block and appropriate clothing to be outside.
Ticket money and permission slips are due back to the band office by Friday, May 25. As space is limited at the event, we will not be able to take permission slips late; the tickets will be ordered on that Friday afternoon.
We are also looking for some band parents to be chaperones for the event! The cost is the same; please let us know on the permission slip if you would be interested.
