Each year the Indiana Bandmasters Association (IBA) sponsors the All-Region and All-District Honor Bands for students in grades 7-12. These honor Bands provide an excellent opportunity for your child to have his/her talent recognized, perform with other outstanding young musicians and work with highly respected music educators and conductors.

7th-8th grade students will need to enter our school code: 64xpmx

Not every student will be chosen for participation. The information on your entry and the band director's recommendation are the only criteria used for selection. The selection committee will also base decisions on what instrumentation is needed in the band.
The selected students will join students from all over our area for a full day of rehearsals. The MS All-Region Band will rehearse on Saturday, November 10th and then present a concert on Sunday, November 11th for family and friends in northern Indiana. The HS All-District Band will rehearse on Saturday November 17 and perform on Sunday, November 18.
The online form must be completed by Friday, Sept. 7th. Students will be notified approximately a month later if they have been chosen. At that time, the students will also receive the music that will be played as well as a detailed itinerary for the weekend. It is the students’ responsibility to practice their music before the weekend of the event. I will be available for help after school, and I expect for each student to play their music for me at least once before the event.
