On Saturday, September 22th, 7th/8th grade band students will be going on a field trip to the Kingsmen Carnival of Bands at Penn High School. Students will get a chance to see several bands perform their theatrical marching band shows and get an understanding of what marching band really is.
The cost for the show tickets is $3, and needs to be returned with the permission slip by Wednesday, September 19. Checks should be made out to Bremen Bands.
Here is a brief outline of our expected schedule:
6:45 pm Students arrive at Bremen High School Please drop off your students next to Bowen Auditorium.
7:00 pm Depart for Penn High School.
7:30 pm Arrive, move to our seats.
8:00 pm Watch Shows. HS Band to sit with and monitor 7th/8th grade students.
9:45 pm Load Bus
10:00 pm Depart for Bremen High School
10:30 pm Arrive at school; dismissed for home.
Students may bring money for the concession stand if they wish. This event is OUTDOORS, and therefore students need to dress appropriately for the weather.
If you would like to be a chaperone, please indicate on the permission slip and return the slip to me. Parents involved with helping with marching band will NOT be able to be a chaperone for this trip, as you will already be at Penn High School with the HS Marching Band. Therefore, we need new help; this is your chance to become involved!
