Are you a 5th-grade student?  Do you have a child in the 5th grade?

Bremen Public Schools are pleased to offer beginning band instruction at Bremen Middle School to students who will be entering 6th grade in the fall.  Beginning band students need no prior musical training to be in 6th-grade band.  All they need is desire and opportunity, and we will do the rest.  No child will be denied due to financial difficulty.

Instruction will be offered on Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon, Saxophone, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Baritone, and Percussion.  Parents must furnish an instrument and these are available through a reasonable rental/purchase program with Quinlan and Fabish in Mishawaka.  If their program for quality instruments is out of financial reach, then email the band program at msutton@bps.k12.in.us and we will look for a different solution together.

 

The Bremen Band Program has a long history of excellence and we invite your child to become involved in an adventure of learning and music making. 

Band instrument instruction will continue to be available to your child through the 12th grade.  Learning to play an instrument and belonging to the school band offers many new adventures, opportunities, and challenges; in addition to being fun!  

 

Band offers many rewarding performances, from solo contests, school concerts, and even performances in distant cities such as New York.  Students will have the opportunity to meet many new people, opening up a whole new world of fun, enrichment, and excitement. Besides playing in middle and high school groups, there are a wealth of opportunities for scholarships at many colleges and universities.
